Digital Activism in Bloom – Research Art Exhibition

Initially, a research project that interviewed 38 social media activists about their digital labor, activism, & engagement with traumatic media, this exhibit reimagines social media activists’ narratives in a new creative form.
Each activist’s interview is transformed into a watercolor phone case design, with flowers symbolizing themes drawn from their interviews. These exist as both physical watercolor pieces & an interactive digital experience, inviting audiences to engage with activism as research, art, & lived testimony.
