As part of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority's Healthy Streets Project, Washtenaw County-based creative teams and artists were encouraged to submit proposals to alter downtown streetscapes and elements in downtown Ann Arbor including the pavement, sidewalks, planters, furniture, barricades, posts, cylinders, curbs, bump outs, lane markers, transit stops.
